Influenced by the sounds of Fly By Midnight, MUNA and The 1975, this pop fuelled song is all about toxic love and its complexities. The pain of knowing that a relationship isn’t right for you but staying, whether it be due to fear, habit or the lies you tell yourself. The music counteracts the sadness of the lyrics, highlighting the joy and hope that awaits you on the other side of this relationship and the freedom that you’ll undoubtedly feel when you’re out of it. The guitars and drums drive us through this track taking us on the journey of love, loss and hope.
I’m so proud of this song, written from a place of true vulnerability. I am so excited to share this song with the world. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

ABOUT GEMMA VANGO
London based singer/songwriter Gemma Vango writes music about her personal experiences and shares her life with us through her lyrics. Following the releases of ‘Be You’ in 2021, along with ‘Home’ and ‘WTRFD’ released in 2022, ‘Sea of Blue’ is the latest release from Gemma Vango. After the success of her previous releases which pulled in thousands of streams, hundreds of monthly listeners, being RicherUnsigned’s ‘Artist of the Week’ and several local radio plays across 2021 & 2022 including an interview with Rob Jelly and Jake Peach on the evening show at BBC Radio Essex, Gemma is hoping for much of the same and more with the release of ‘Sea of Blue’. After a year of creativity, writing, living and working, Gemma is so excited to share her new music across the upcoming year with the first of multiple releases planned in 2025.
